Yoncalla School District seeks qualified applicants for an Instructional Assistant - Math Intervention Specialist to work at both Yoncalla Elementary and High Schools. This position begins in the fall of 2024.
GENERAL INFORMATION Salary/Pay Rate: $15.02 - $17.39 per hour, and includes benefits Hours/Days: 7.5 hours per day/4 days per week plus an additional 2 hours of After School Tutoring on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week.
JOB SUMMARY The selected candidate will assist in the operation of the instructional or supportive services in the school system with a focus on Math Interventions in grades 4-12. Math proficiency is essential for this position.
DUTIES This not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job. Assist teachers in the planning and implementation of learning experiences of students enrolled in programs; confer with teacher to provide feedback on student performance, progress, and testing activities. Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities. Assist in monitoring classroom management in accordance with the district's discipline procedures, which may include the physical restraint, physical movement, lifting and carrying of students. Supervise students in and outside of the classroom with an understanding of and provision for a safe environment. Provide small ground/intervention support Create learning activities for small group/intervention support. Data collection on district wide math assessments.
