GENERAL DUTIES:
The District(Chief) Information and Technology Officer plans, develops, directs, monitors and maintains the overall operational and fiscal resources of the Technology Services Department in accordance with the District’s Strategic Plan. The District Officer provides guidance and leadership to schools, department administrators and supervisors in planning and implementing the department’s services and programs to meet the various school and District needs. The District Officer contributes to the development of long-range goals and operating plans for the department by participating with other executive staff in the formulation of goals and priorities included in the District’s Strategic Plan. The District (Chief) Officer oversees the overall management of technology and data functions to assure the well-being of the District and to efficiently and effectively provide technical services necessary to support the District’s mission and goals. The District(Chief) Information and Technology Officer is a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- At least eight years of related experience with five years in a significant management role
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead an organization through significant technological change
- In depth knowledge of computing, data processing and communication systems
- Experience in short and long-range planning processes
- Ability to prepare and present reports and recommendations orally and in writing
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, families, and school/department personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
- Ability to work harmoniously with others
Salary and Benefits:
- Annual compensation: $188,227.00 plus general salary increases aligned with licensed staff contract
