Position Summary :
Part-Time Advance Technician / Trainer / Athletics
Position Description
Evaluate, advise and treat athletes to assist in recovery from injury and to maintain peak physical fitness.
Job Duties
1. Conduct an initial assessment of an athlete's injury.
2. Care for athlete injuries using physical therapy, equipment, techniques and medication.
3. Evaluate athlete's readiness to play and participate when clearance are warranted.
4. Apply protective or injury preventive devices such as tape, bandages and braces.
5. Access and report progress to coaches, athletes and physicians if necessary.
6. Collaborate with physicians in order to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires at least an Associate's Degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) and at least two years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor Degree and a minimum of three years experience in an Athletic training setting.
Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the State of Florida Board of Health.
Current AED / CPR Certification by the American Heart Association.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Interpersonal and organizational skills.
This Part-Time position will not exceed 25 hours of work in a week.
Pay Rate
Hourly ~ $14.07
