Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the County Attorney and First Assistant Attorney, the incumbent will act as counsel for the State of New Hampshire in criminal matters in the Manchester or Nashua office of the County Attorney. The incumbent will effectively prepare and prosecute major felony caseload.
General Responsibilities:
The incumbent must have the ability to prepare cases and communicate with investigating agencies. They must have the ability to direct the work of legal support staff including investigators, clerks, legal secretaries and paralegals. The incumbent must be able to attend child Advocacy Center interviews and participate in case review meetings. Ability to analyze legal issues, research pertinent case laws and work closely with other attorneys is a must.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from an accredited Law School
· Criminal law experience in substantial felony cases
· Active member in good standing of the State of New Hampshire Bar Association
· Valid Driver’s license
