Summary :
The Secondary Teacher (grades 6-12) is responsible for the instruction of
designated content area(s) / course(s) in a classroom setting within a secondary school.

Certificates / Licenses / Registrations : Florida Professional Educator Certificate preferred. Eligibility
for Florida Temporary Certificate required.

presents to managers, the public, and school board.
Mathematical Skills : Works with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and
fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Applies concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability : Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished
in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills : Knowledge of relevant and current computer software programs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Physical Activities : Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing.
Lifting Demands : Up to 10 pounds.
Reaching Activities : Both dominant and non-dominant hand; overhead.
