Work Schedule and Shift Premiums for the Dietary Aide
- The dietary aide's hours could vary depending on the job they are doing that day.
- 6am - 2:30pm, 9:30am - 8pm, or 9:30am - 6pm
- Will be scheduled for every other weekend
- 2nd shift premium applies when you work 4 or more hours on 2nd shift
- 2nd shift is 3pm - 11pm, $2.00/hour shift premium
- Weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour

Qualifications for the Dietary Aide
- Must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Not required, but commercial kitchen experience is desirable - sanitation plus food safety and infection control in food storage
Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide
- Utilizes safe food handling practices including taking food temperatures, using gloves when handling food, and storing food properly
- Uses knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing techniques for proper cleaning of work surfaces, equipment and cutting boards; operates dish washing machine
- Ensures cafeteria is neat during service and foods are displayed appropriately
- Waits on customers in the cafeteria and uses a cash register
- Is flexible and available when emergency staffing situations arise
