Work Schedule and Shift Premiums
Contingent / as needed / PRN
2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour; 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour; weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour, SB 690 pay while on skilled nursing is an additional $3.40/hour
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
- Current CRT or RRT License in the State of Michigan
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TEAMS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital if not currently certified)
Responsibilities
- Ventilator/BIPAP management
- Perform physical examination and diagnostic tests including EKG and ABG measuring lung capacity and blood acidity and alkalinity
- Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
- Perform pulmonary clearance procedures on patients
- Chart response and progress of therapies administered in electronic medical record
- Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans
- Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication
