Job Summary
The Home Care Aide is responsible for providing personal care and support to residents in their private residences. This includes assisting with daily living activities, escorting clients to medical and social appointments, and performing home management tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing and dressing
- Prepare and serve meals, and assist with feeding
- Escort clients to medical and social appointments
- Assist with planning and participating in social activities
- Perform home management tasks, such as housekeeping and laundry
- Sort mail and assist with correspondence
- Answer telephones and greet visitors
- Ensure the home is safe and secure
- Work closely with supervisors to ensure quality care is provided
