About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Home Care Aide to join our team at Hillside - a HumanGood community. This is a part-time position, requiring weekend availability.
Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Home Care Aide provides assistance in the personal care and protection of residents in their private residence. This may include escorting clients to medical and social appointments, assisting with planning and participation of social activities, and performing home management tasks such as housekeeping and laundry.
Responsibilities
- Accurately report unusual symptoms and problems of residents to supervisor
- Perform home management tasks such as housekeeping, shopping, and laundry
- Document daily records and encourage self-care activities
- Assist and escort clients to medical and social appointments, store, or run errands for client
- Assist with planning and participation of social activities
- May sort mail for residents
- Answer telephones and assist visitors
- Responsible for adhering to HIPAA privacy rules and company policies, procedures, and practices
- Conduct work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety program
- Display behavior that provides effective, courteous, and good customer service
- Maintain a marketing focus and be proficient in the use of a computer for input of resident information
