Product Tester

AMS Filling Systems (Hillside Custom Machining) is seeking candidates with experience in filling and packaging systems.This position tests our customer’s product on various filling machines that are engineered, manufactured and assembled in our innovative facility. This position will assist the sales department in final machine checkouts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform Product Testing

Weigh product and samples to verify packaging weight

Assist with tooling requirements and decisions

Maintain a clean and organized testing laboratory

Produce detailed lab reports

Effectively communicate results with sales team

Ability to evaluate product density and make conversions when necessary

Ability to use standard hand tools and measuring devices

Evaluate and operate filling equipment

Perform final machine checkouts to ensure quality and standard expectations

Clean machinery

Assist with customer Factory Acceptance Tests

Assist in product demonstrations virtually and in person

Communicate machine checkouts, product demonstrations and lab testing results with team members

Assist in packing tooling for shipments

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge or experience with free-flowing and non-free flowing product characteristics

Ability to assist with tooling requirements

Proficient in developing reports in Excel

Knowledge of measurement conversions and product densities

Familiar with ERP systems

Knowledge of filling equipment industry and terminology

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to climb ladders

Ability to follow safety protocols according to safety data sheets

• Filling Machines: 2 years (Preferred)
• ERP systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Required)
• Hand tools: 3 years (Required)
