Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) AL
Schedule: Friday-Sunday 6p-6a with Baylor pay
Pay: starting at$17.00
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic life support techniques when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to outpatient services, dermatology, geriatrics, and hospital medicine.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) techniques.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
