Concrete Construction Foreman

We are local, family owned, NON-UNION concrete construction contractors based out of West Dundee, IL. We have grown our business by offering a strong commitment to service and support. We seek an experienced Concrete Foreman with a minimum of 5 years of solid background in leading concrete construction crew. We are looking for hardworking and dependable individuals to fill this position as soon as possible.

NOTE: Projects and jobsites are located in multiple areas in both Illinois and Wisconsin. Employees must have flexibility to travel to site areas on a day-to-day basis. Below is a list of current areas where jobsites are located:

Company Description

• Hilltop Concrete Construction focuses on concrete work from family-owned residential homes, all the way to large upscale commercial projects. Our concrete work includes – trenches/caps, sidewalks, driveways, patios/walkways, basements, retaining walls, foundation and excavation. Anything and everything concrete!
  
  

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Coordinating task according to priorities and plans
• Allocating general and daily responsibilities
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Supervise and train workers
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Installation and work with workers to install concrete
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress to managers
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the concrete construction industry
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Proven experience as Concrete Foreman
• Bi-lingual / fluent in Spanish and English a Plus
• In - depth knowledge of concrete procedures
• Ability to read and understand drawings, plans, and blueprints
• Ability to Setup and Layout for footing, foundations, and grade
• Be able to use Laser, to determine elevations and grades
• Figure and order concrete
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Ability to supervise all construction crew
• Strong Math skills
• Problem solver
• Equipment operator a plus (skid steer, mini excavator, ect..)
• Daily cleaning of the job site
• Experience in both commercial and residential projects is a plus
• Report project progress to superiors, and be the liaison between construction workers and supervisors
• Ensure that the project is staying on or under budget
• Installation of flatwork (Framing of concrete foundations, walls, stairs, stoops, driveways, grading, pouring and finishing, and stamped concrete)
  
  

Job Type

• Full time, Monday – Saturday, all year round
• Weather permitting for outdoor projects
• Projects in both Illinois and Wisconsin

• Pay will be consistent with skill and experience

Salary: $45 - $50 Hourly

Bonus/Commission: No
