Floor LPN

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including primary care, assisted living, and nursing homes. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of our patients, particularly those with specific needs such as dementia care and geriatrics. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment for all individuals under your care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with daily living activities, ensuring patients' comfort and dignity.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in health assessments and screenings for various populations, including pediatrics and individuals with disabilities.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards within the facility.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of primary care practices and procedures.
• Experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in dementia care techniques to support cognitive health.
• Familiarity with occupational health principles is a plus.
• Understanding of geriatrics, critical care, ICU practices, and pediatrics.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and compassion towards patients.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.54 - $28.97 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
