We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff on assigned shifts
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure accurate documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and triage patients as necessary
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in Texas
- Proven experience in cardiac catheterization, medical documentation, hospital or medical office settings
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience administering injections and performing phlebotomy
- Familiarity with occupational health practices is a plus
- Ability to effectively triage patients and make critical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
