Hilltop Securities is currently looking to hire an Operations Supervisor within Retirement Plans in Dallas, Texas. The Operations group is a collection of sub-departments which is responsible for everything after an account is opened or a trade occurs. The Operations group's responsibilities include opening customer accounts, account maintenance, receiving and delivering money and securities to customers, and many more.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College Degree preferred.
- Three to five years back-office Operations experience with specific department experience in Retirement Operations.
- Series 99 required. Series 7 preferred or obtained within 6 months.
- Prefer individuals with certifications such as QPFC and CEBS.
- Ability to understand the complicated nature of investment, RMD, and tax consequences of IRA plans on a brokerage platform.
- Previous supervisory or Team lead experience preferred of at least 1 year
- Customer focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and back office systems
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize workload to meet daily deadlines
- Quick learner, team player with ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Able to work additional hours and/or flexible shift assignments when needed.
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
- Strong communications skills, both oral and written and effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well independently and prioritize tasks.
Essential Functions
- Performs supervisory activities including ability to lead and motivate staff. Hire staff and address performance issues as necessary.
- Resolves or recommends solutions to complex problems.
- Responsible for non-routine activities/transactions by drawing on multiple information sources and understanding multiple effects of a transaction.
- May have extensive contact with internal and external customers to identify, research and resolve problems.
- Metric driven individual with ability to improve the client experience and operating environment.
