Position Summary

Ticket Office Cashiers are responsible for maintaining Customer Service as per company standard, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, cash register operations (POS), and loss prevention in adherence to all Company Policy/Store standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of Customer Service.
  • Primarily responsible for answering telephones, handling cashier transactions, stocking retail, and performing other clerical duties.
  • Maintaining an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements
  • Assisting in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and lodge housekeeping.
  • Maintaining the inventory and informing the supervisor of stocking needs; ensuring re-stock is done promptly.
  • Assisting coworkers and supervisors with administrative duties
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
  • Performing accurate company-required recordkeeping
  • Resolving customer problems, such as customer complaints
  • Informing customers of prices, anticipated closures and any additional information needed by customer.
  • Accurately and efficiently completing all sales transactions and maintaining proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers
  • Communicating customer requests to management
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Prior cashier experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems
  • Ability to accurately serve as a cashier, including processing credit cards, making change, and other basic math skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors.

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently accesses all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area; the ability to climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
