What We’re Looking For:
Required:
- Active LPN or RN license in good standing with the State of Alabama
- Must be at least 18 years old
- A strong commitment to patient care, especially for elderly residents
Preferred:
- At least one year of long-term care experience
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- CPR certification
- A natural passion for helping others and working in a team-oriented environment

Full Job Description
As a Charge Nurse with our facility, you may perform a variety of duties that provide optimal patient care to our residents. Typical job duties and tasks of a LPN include:
- Complete full nursing assessments on residents
- Administering medication to residents as prescribed by their physicians
- Completing resident care tasks such as IV line care, trach care, etc.
- Taking a resident’s temperature, blood pressure, and other vital statistics
- Observing the resident for changes in their health, mood, and behavior, and subsequently reporting any concerns to a Unit Manager or the Physician on duty
- Preparing residents for their care, describing procedures ordered by their physicians, and listening to any concerns or grievances they have
- Providing residents with immunizations
- Working with and mentoring CNAs/NAs to provide optimal care to our residents
