Responsibilities and Objectives :
- Coordinates all educational programs for licensed and unlicensed staff.
- Plan, delivers, and evaluated educational programs for licensed and non-licensed staff.
- Provides preceptor/mentor education programs as needed. Provides on-goings support to preceptors.
- Strive to meet the educational needs of staff with the nursing department. Provides an annual calendar of educational activities for staff including educational needs identified by nursing leadership and all relevant quality improvement activities .
- Provides BLS,CPR, and First Aid education for direct staff as required . Partivipates in appropriate committees and collaborates with other staff to promote a high standard of licensed and non-licensed staff with Department of Nursing.
Required Qualifications:
- RN in good standing with the AL Board of Nursing
- Previous experience in Staff Development is preferred, but not required
- At least 1 year of long-term care experience
