Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will be responsible for managing reservations, seating guests, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and ensure they feel welcomed.
- Manage the seating chart and efficiently assign tables to optimize flow and minimize wait times.
- Take reservations over the phone and in-person, ensuring accurate details are recorded.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, providing solutions to enhance their experience.
- Assist with phone etiquette by answering calls in a polite manner and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Promote a positive dining atmosphere by engaging with guests and fostering good guest relations.
Skills
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
- A friendly attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
