This individual will play a key role in HIPs fund business, assisting the SVP with capital raising efforts, investor relations, market due diligence, fund reporting, and broader capital markets activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial real estate investment, investor engagement, and fundraising with a strong ability to manage internal and external relationships.

Position Summary:
Hillwood Investment Properties (HIP) is seeking an experienced Vice President, Investor Relations to join our growing team in Dallas, Texas reporting to the Senior Vice President, Capital Markets (SVP). This individual will play a key role in HIPs fund business, assisting the SVP with capital raising efforts, investor relations, market due diligence, fund reporting, and broader capital markets activities. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial real estate investment, investor engagement, and fundraising with a strong ability to manage internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Support and execute HIPs capital raising strategies across institutional investors by:
- Participating in investor meetings, industry conferences, and networking events;
- Preparing and delivering investor pitch books, presentations, white papers, one- pagers and other supporting documents;
- Compiling and responding to investor due diligence requests for current and potential investors; and
- Partnering with internal and external legal teams to review and prepare legal documents, including fund partnership agreements, amendments, and compliance-related materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current HIP investors by:
- Assisting with investor reporting, including quarterly updates, valuation review, financial performance summaries, and fund-level analysis.
- Ensuring compliance and adherence to operation processes and procedures, including shareholder offerings.
- Interact regularly with senior leadership and key internal stakeholders, providing insights and updates on capital raising efforts, investor engagement, and fund performance.
- Contribute to ad hoc fund-related projects and analyses as needed.
- Sincere interest in real estate, capital markets, and the overall economy.
- Strong understanding of capital raising, investor relations, and commercial real estate investment.
- Professional maturity, including the ability to lead a “team of teams.”
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling investor materials.
- Great aptitude for financial concepts, including financial analysis, tax, accounting, and interpreting fund performance data.
- Outstanding reading comprehension for reviewing and negotiating complex legal documents and navigating compliance-related documentation.
- Ability to organize and prioritize heavy workloads in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment with accuracy.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint.
- Consistent demonstration of a high level of professional demeanor, integrity, and ethics.
- Experience with CRM and investor reporting tools is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business, and related field.
- Prior Experience working in real estate, investment banking, investment management or capital markets.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in capital raising, investor relations, or commercial real estate investment.
- Experience reading and interpreting legal documents.
