A Typical Day
This position is responsible for executing procurement responsibilities related to Direct Material; Ingredients, Packaging, and Chemicals. Success in this position is primarily measured by the coordination with our vendors to ensure on time delivery and in the right quantities those materials required to support the Cheese and Ingredients inventory planners.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, equipment and other categories as assigned
- Manage and process requisitions from other functional groups
- Monitors, prepares analysis and reports on KPI’s as identified by team
- Provide exceptional Customer Service at all support levels
- Manage the cost, quality, and delivery of material purchased
- Monitor and communicate order status for categories assigned. Follow-up, track and expedite deliveries as needed
- Collaborate with Supply Chain team to ensure inventory accuracy
What You Will Need
- High School diploma and 3 years of related experience OR Associates degree plus 2 years of related experience or Bachelor's degree.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, and ISM CPSM certification preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems
What Will Put You Ahead
- High School diploma and 4 years of related experience OR Associates degree plus 2 years of related experience
- Experience working with and managing suppliers to ensure cost/quality/delivery expectations are met
Physical Demands & Work Environment
The work is primarily performed in an office environment and the physical demands are characteristic of a mostly sedentary role. Specific details of the essential functions of the position is available in the Job Safety Analysis, made available on request.
