Job Summary
The Hilmar Unified School District is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Transportation Specialist to drive school buses over designated routes with designated stops. This role involves transporting students to and from school and on field trips, ensuring student safety and adhering to District Policy and State Law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inspection of the bus prior to operation as required by law.
- Pick up and deliver students to and from designated bus stops and schools in accordance with District Policy and State Law.
- Transport students on field trips in accordance with District Policy and State Law.
- Maintain orderly student conduct on school buses and at bus stops in accordance with District Policy and State Law.
- Maintain the bus in a clean and orderly condition, including closing all windows.
- Attend all safety meetings and workshops provided by the District.
- Submit required reports regarding the operation of the bus and report all potential safety problems as required.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- School Bus Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Valid Class "B" Drivers License with Passenger Endorsement and Airbrake Attachment
- Letter of Intent
- Three Letters of Recommendation
- Ability to pass WorkSTEPS Pre-Employment Physical
