Job Qualifications
Valid New York State School Media Specialist Certification is required. Successful candidates will possess:
- A growth mindset, positive attitude, and leadership attributes
- NYS LIbrary Media certification or enrollment in a graduate program leading to School Library Media certification
- Knowledge of information fluency continuum and inquiry-based learning
- Knowledge of children's literature and promoting student literacy (including digital, media, and ICT literacies)
- Knowledge of instructional technology
- Ability to teach, use, and promote online databases and eBooks
- Ability to collaboratively plan with classroom teachers
- Knowledge of Google Apps for Education, Office 365 preferred
- Knowledge of and applicable experience using the Design cycle is preferred
