What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Call Banquet Server position at Hilton Charlotte Uptown?
This role is responsible for the banquet service functions for Hilton Charlotte Uptown.
The Banquet Server will complete required duties before, during and after events and collaborate the culinary team to ensure high quality service.
Addtional duties will include completing table set-ups by properly placing silverware and glassware, placing food items on the tables, assisting guests with any requests such as beverage refills, clearing of plates and cleaning of table at conclusion of events.
The ideal candidate is able to meet these objectives by effectively partnering with team members and other hotel departments to deliver the highest quality product and service.
Key responsibilities of the Banquet Server position include:
- Complete table settings of items such as plates and silverware
- Assist guest with all sequence of service items such as delivery food to the table, serving beverages and assisting guests during banquet events
- Complete proper clearing of plates and completing related event cleaning duties
- Ensures proper setting of buffet tables and other food service tables and completes buffet set-up and tear down
- Maintains constant communication with guests and on-site contact to ensure all expectations are met or exceeded and visually inspect all areas of banquets are up to standards
- Review BEO specifications to ensure proper table and buffet set-up
- Communicates with guests to support event needs and on-site requests
- Completes post function cleaning and closing duties
- Candidate must have one year of guest service and/or banquets experience in hotel or country club environment.
