We are seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration/Kitchen Mechanic to join our hotel’s engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting refrigeration and kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance and guest satisfaction. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the hotel’s kitchen and refrigeration systems operate efficiently, providing a safe and reliable environment for our culinary staff.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Refrigeration Systems Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on refrigeration units, ice machines, walk-in coolers, and freezers to ensure proper functioning.
- Kitchen Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and repair kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, fryers, and mixers, ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Identify issues in refrigeration and kitchen equipment and resolve them quickly to minimize downtime, using troubleshooting tools and methods.Assist with the installation and setup of new kitchen/refrigeration and HVAC equipment as required.Ensure that all maintenance work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulations. Maintain knowledge of industry standards, and stay updated on best practices in refrigeration and kitchen equipment.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, repairs, and parts used. Track scheduled maintenance and repairs.Respond to emergency service requests for refrigeration or kitchen equipment breakdowns, particularly during peak hours.Work closely with other hotel departments (e.g., kitchen staff, housekeeping, and management) to ensure equipment downtime is minimized and service disruptions are avoided.Requirements:

Pay: $31.00 - $33.00 per hour
