The Hilton Fort Wayne at the Grand Wayne Convention Center is hiring! Come be part of the excitement in Downtown Fort Wayne and work at the city's premier full-service hotel. We are currently seeking fun, energetic, team players with a passion for hospitality to join our Housekeeping Department as a House Person.
Position Summary:
The House Person plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, supporting room attendants, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Start time: 8:00 AM until tasks are completed (typically between 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Full-time team members will receive two days off during the week
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, professional attitude with a passion for hospitality
Position Responsibilities:
- Clean hallways, elevators, stairwells, service areas, and public spaces in a safe and efficient manner
- Remove newspapers, trash, trays, and linens from guest areas at beginning and end of each shift
- Assist Room Attendants by stocking carts and removing soiled linens and trash from guest rooms
- Sort soiled linen and operate laundry equipment (e.g., feeders, folders, ironers) as needed
- Fold and organize laundry according to brand and hotel standards
- Maintain punctuality and wear proper uniform during scheduled shifts
- Communicate positively and professionally with guests and team members at all times
