Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities range from, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for clear and effective communication between housekeeping and other departments.
- Fill in for staff when necessary.
- Create a courteous friendly, professional work environment through open line of communication.
- Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas and back of house work areas meet company and franchise cleanliness standards.
- Comply with company and franchise standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain housekeeping records and checklists.
- Assist Executive Housekeeper with linen and supply inventories.
- Supervise, train, support, and monitor housekeepers and public area attendants.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Perform daily required room inspections and complete required tracking.
- Motives and gives direction to housekeeping staff
- Maintain and tracks “lost and found” system.
- Assist the Director of Housekeeping to maintain or exceed required Quality Assurance (QA/QE) standards and scores.

- Excellent customer skills. Housekeeping Supervisors are expected to smile and greet all hotel guests they come in contact with.
- Ability to treat guests, co workers, supervisors, and management with courtesy and professionalism.
- Should demonstrate accountability for his/her actions and decisions.
Computer Skills
- Must be able to use and understand the “housekeeping” functions in the PMS systems.

Scheduling & Transportation Requirements:
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- There is no minimum guarantee on the number of hours a Housekeeping Supervisor will work per day or per week. Housekeeping Supervisors are scheduled based on demand, season, and special events. Hours can significantly fluctuate from season to season.
- Employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from work.
