Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Shuttle Driver to join our team in the Mornings and in the Evenings. The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently between designated locations. Most runs will be back and forth from XNA but could be within a 5 mile radius of the Hotel. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle various driving situations while ensuring passenger comfort and safety.
Duties
- Safely operate shuttle vehicles, including vans and buses, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, as well as handling luggage or personal items.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with passengers regarding schedules, routes, and any changes in service.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, particularly when handling passenger luggage or equipment.
- Follow established routes and schedules while being flexible to accommodate changes as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met before departure.
Experience
- Previous experience in shuttle driving or commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with customer service principles is essential for providing a positive experience for passengers.
- Experience in related roles such as delivery driver, school bus driving, limousine services, or paratransit services is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are required to effectively interact with passengers and address their needs.
- Ability to manage heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently when necessary.
