POSITION SUMMARY
The Banquet Set Up primary role is to prepare and organize all attributes for special functions and events, while ensuring Brand Standards and Banquet Department operating procedures are being followed. The Banquet Set Up will help with event preparation and clean up the area being used for an event.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set upand breakdownbanquet meeting space per Event Order instructions, including tables, table complements (salt, pepper, sugar, breadsticks, etc.),table linens, table settings,center pieces, dishes,audio-visual equipment, and all otherevent provisions.
- Help with expected demand preparations, Table setting, utensil-plating, and center pieces
- Assist Banquet Manager with any pre-event needs.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet spaces, before, during and afterevents.
- Provide excellent customer service to allguests that you may come in contact with.
- Communicate with Banquet Manager as well as other banquet staff.
- See to the comfort of guests by making sure that all pre-event needs are taken care of.
- Double check all documentation to make sure every aspect of event is correct.
- Hold to company and Brandstandards.
- Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling andsanitation.
- Manageaudio-visual equipmentneeded for all events.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents,injuries,and unsafe work conditions to management.
- All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School education or GED required to accomplish the essential functions of this job. Previous experience for medium to large groups preferred. Knowledge of catering practices preferred.
