Position Overview:
The Experienced Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue by selling guest rooms, meeting space, and event services while ensuring the successful execution of events to exceed guest expectations. This individual will proactively build client relationships, drive sales growth, and oversee event logistics to deliver an exceptional guest experience and achieve financial goals.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate leads and secure new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and market research.
- Respond to SMERF inquiries for group rooms, events, and meeting space promptly and professionally.
- Conduct site tours and meetings with prospective clients to showcase the hotel’s amenities and services.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets, focusing on SMERF group business.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms to meet hotel revenue goals while adhering to pricing strategies.
Event Management Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee events from start to finish, including meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide creative solutions, and deliver personalized event experiences.
- Partner with internal teams, including catering, operations, and front desk, to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Manage BEO’s, event logistics, including room setup, audiovisual needs, F&B, and any additional client requests.
- Handle last-minute changes or challenges with professionalism and efficiency to ensure client satisfaction.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the Delphi CRM system.
- Prepare detailed event orders, contracts, and reports for internal and client use.
- Monitor and track sales activity, revenue performance, and client feedback.
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings to represent the hotel and build brand awareness.
- Develop and monitor the department's budget to ensure financial objectives are met.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or experience as a hotel Sales Manager.
- 2–4 years of experience in hotel sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Delphi CRM systems, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and hotel sales software (e.g., Pep, Delphi, or similar).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
