Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment will be essential in ensuring the success of our restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Prepare all food items, including vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products, to the highest quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to meet demanding production schedules.
- Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards.
- Recognize quality standards in fresh produce and meats.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
- Culinary experience, with proficiency in cooking techniques such as charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting, and par-cooking.
- Knowledge of herbs and spices, including proper use and handling.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
