What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Hilton Garden Inn Northeast?
With an exceptional level of hospitality, this position will serve our bar & lounge guests by preparing & serving beverages for guests in a personal, instinctive & professional manner. Create an environment for our customers to feel a sense of renewal, all while ensuring that we are in accordance with state & local guidelines regarding the responsible service of alcohol. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, & ensure smooth service operations & quality service. The ideal candidate performs all duties in a pleasant, conscientious, fun, energetic & professional manner. Must be of legal age to prepare & serve alcoholic beverages according to state laws.
Essential functions:
- Maintain a clean bar & service area.
- Process payments.
- Manage inventory of the bar.
- Responsible for selling & serving food as well as selling, preparing & serving beverages.
- Ensure that guests are served in accordance to state & local guidelines regarding the responsible service of alcohol.
- Must be hospitable & gracious in all guest & associate interactions.
- Oversee bar maintenance.
- Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment & supplies.
- Responsible for knowing hotel standards of service.
- Maintain behind the scenes area for safe & efficient work practices.
- Any other duties as requested by a supervisor.
Regular attendance in conformance with the hotel's standards is essential to the successful performance of this position. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions & meetings is required. Excellent communication skills are required & must be able to successfully complete TIPS training for alcohol service awareness. All employees must maintain a neat, clean & well-groomed appearance. Bartending experience required.
