The Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe, an award-winning premier venue located in Canonsburg is looking for an experienced Event Sales Manager to join their team. The Event Sales Manager is responsible for the sales and coordination and ensuring a smooth and successful execution of events. They will be involved with hosting corporate meetings, intimate gatherings and extraordinary weddings in our 20,000 square feet of flexible event space.
The Event Sales Manager attracts clients, secures event bookings, details the events and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the process. Additional responsibilities of this role include:
- Promote and sell event spaces, packages, and additional services to generate sales leads and prospect for new clients.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, proposals, and event agreements in accordance with company policies and pricing guidelines.
- Conduct site visits and meetings with clients.
- Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary resources for events, such as equipment, rentals, and decorations.
- Oversee event setup, manage event flow, and handle any last-minute changes or issues to ensure a flawless event experience for clients and attendees.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major preferred
- Minimum of two years hotel/resort/event sales experience or the equivalent amount of industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
