Responsibilities
- Greet arriving guests warmly and assist them with parking their vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Drive and maneuver guests' vehicles carefully to designated parking spots, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
- Retrieve guests' vehicles promptly upon request, assist with loading luggage or belongings, and ensure that vehicles are returned in the same condition as received.
- Welcome arriving guests and assist them with unloading luggage or belongings from their vehicles.
- Escort guests to their rooms, carrying luggage as needed, and provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with luggage storage, retrieval, and delivery to their rooms, ensuring that all items are handled carefully and delivered promptly.
- Provide courteous and attentive service to guests, responding promptly and professionally to their requests, inquiries, and concerns.
- Offer assistance with transportation arrangements, restaurant reservations, and other guest needs, and provide directions and recommendations for local attractions and activities.
- Anticipate guests' needs and preferences and proactively offer assistance and solutions to enhance their stay experience.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including traffic laws, vehicle handling guidelines, and security measures, to ensure the safety and security of guests, vehicles, and property.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the valet parking area, bell stand, and lobby entrance, including removing debris, organizing luggage carts, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager for resolution.
- Must have nights and weekend availability. This is an hourly position plus tips! Endless potential
- Provide high level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure; possess and maintain a driving record that meets Olympia Hotel Management’s Driver Evaluation Criteria in order to drive the hotel van
- Previous valet experience is preferred; minimum of 1 year of driving with a valid Driver’s License; must maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with our DMV guidelines; (You may request a copy of the DMV guidelines from your General Manager at any time.) Previous experience driving a van is preferred. Experience in guest service and/or working with the public is helpful; high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
- 90 Day performance review, on-going feedback from supervisor, attendance, productivity, feedback from others, Guest Response scores, etc.
