The Hilton Garden Inn Southfield is seeking a positive, highly self-motivated Guest Services Agent to join our Front Desk Team. The Hilton Garden Inn Southfield is a select service hotel with 194 guestrooms, just over 6,000 square feet of meeting space as well as our Garden Grille & Bar restaurant.
We are currently looking for someone with flexible availability that can work Primarily 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm shifts. Weekend and Holiday availability is required. Being able to have a flexible schedule is key for us to work as a team!
The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests, whether over the phone, during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout; while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Process guest folios and collect payment for in-house and departing guests.
· Responsible handling of Cash and Credit Card transactions.
· Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and with courtesy.
· Assist guests with any inquiries regarding local entertainment, restaurants or transportation.
· Maintain efficient and effective flow of information with guests and all internal departments.
· Handle additional duties as needed by guests or management
· Shifts include 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am , 7days a week, 365 days a year. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours.
WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, AND EVENINGS ARE MANDATORY.
Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Hotel and or Customer Service experience preferred.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
· Requires standing for long periods of time as well as being able to lift at least 50 lbs.
· Excellent organization skill and ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Exceptional service skills, with strong ability to foster effective relationships with all levels of staff, management and clientele
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
· Command of the English language both written and verbal.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
