Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Sales Manager to join our team for the Hilton Garden Inn and Springhill Suites in the heart of the Historic Devens, MA and the innovative Pathway Devens growing Campus.
Duties
- Responsible for qualifying and responding to all overnight room group inquiries and corporate RFPs within assigned market segments in a timely manner.
- Responsible for managing and detailing new and existing smaller corporate functions for 50 guests or less.
- Research, solicit, and generate new leads for group opportunities through proactive sales efforts to meet and exceed lead generation goals.
- Represent the hotel in developing market segments and building new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts.
- Strive consistently to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams.
- Develop a business strategy by analyzing historical, current, and future hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture the maximum amount of revenue to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Demonstrate a passionate approach to qualifying, negotiating, and securing new revenue for the hotel.
- Plan and Execute outside Sales Visits and memorable sales blitzs to local businesses.
- Maintain a local Prescence in the community by attending local networking events as appropriate.
- Work closely with the revenue management team and attached convention center to ensure the hotels are aligned appropriately within the market by consistently staying informed of demand generators and market trends and sharing local market knowledge with the team.
- Generate regular sales reports and maintain assigned CRM as directed by General Manager and hotel management company.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with revenue management principles and budgeting processes is preferred.
- Proficient in hospitality management software and phone systems; strong phone etiquette is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hotel sales, marketing, or hospitality industry
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and best practices
