What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Hilton Garden Inn Texarkana Convention Center?
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
Experience:
- Proven experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
Skills:
- Hospitality: Provide excellent customer service to guests
- Clean: Perform cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively
- Housekeeping management: Maintain cleanliness standards and manage inventory
- Floor care: Knowledge of different floor types and appropriate cleaning methods
- Hotel: Familiarity with hotel housekeeping procedures and standards
- Custodial: Experience in custodial duties such as waste disposal and restroom cleaning
- Industrial cleaning: Ability to handle heavy-duty cleaning tasks in industrial settings
