Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our food service environment. Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Help with bussing tables, clearing away used dishes, and resetting dining areas for the next service.
- Ensure that all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
