Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance. This role is essential in ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and efficient environment for all users. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including repairs, maintenance, and customer service interactions.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct repairs using various tools and techniques, including welding and electrical troubleshooting with logic controllers.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or customers, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Supervise or assist in the training of junior maintenance staff as needed.
- Carry out residential painting tasks as part of facility upkeep.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
- Familiarity with using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools is advantageous.
- Previous experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments is essential.
