What will I be doing?
As an Administrative Assistant, you would be responsible for executing your position's responsibilities through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Assist in the daily management and coordination of all efforts in the Housekeeping Department to ensure product quality and functionality, safety and cost awareness, in addition to maximizing work productivity. Primarily responsible for all department administrative duties including scheduling, attendance, purchasing, record keeping, and reporting.
- Fosters an environment of outstanding customer service to all departmental employees.
- Assists with the coordination and dispatching of all daily housekeeping requests. Ensures work requested is completed to the delight and satisfaction of all guests.
- Assists the Executive Housekeeper in coordinating efforts with outside contractors and vendors.
- Assists Housekeeping in coordinating with Engineering on a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all units and facilities.
- Assists the Executive Housekeeper with ordering and inventory.
- Assists the Housekeeping Manager in the monitoring and creation of all department operating budgets with accountability for reporting on any variances.
- Coordinates efforts with the Front Desk and Maintenance, when required, to ensure owners/guests needs have been met.
- Assists the Executive Housekeeper with the organizing, instructing, training and record keeping of all Housekeeping training and safety awareness programs. Promotes safety awareness among all members of the department, adhering to resort and legislative procedures and regulations. Active participation of the property’s safety committee.
- Maintains effective communication and interaction with the Housekeeping Leadership and all other departments of the property, ensuring Management is aware of any unresolved problems or issues, and any upcoming potential problem areas.
- Ensure that the property’s Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plan(s) are updated and current at all times.
- Routinely inspects all rooms and public areas to ensure they are in compliance with established standards of product quality, appearance, and functionality.
- Assists on all guest activities as required by management. Carries out a reasonable request by management.

- High School Graduate/GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months related experience
- Strong Microsoft Office computer experience especially with Word, Outlook & Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and handle a multi-phones line in a fast paced environment.
- Detail oriented and possess and be able to apply a comprehensive knowledge of Housekeeping practices and procedures for the planning supervision, and completion of multiple and complex assignments
- Team-first attitude
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Bilingual in the English and Spanish
- 1 year of Administrative experience
