What Will I be Doing?
The Manager of Development and QA is responsible for leading all testing activities for all HGV applications and managing development teams.
You are responsible for driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Technical Experience - The desired candidate has hands-on experience in DevOps principles and is a subject matter expert for implementing test automation and performance testing into the development pipeline.
Collaboration - The Manager will be highly-engaged with IT and Business Stakeholders, with a focus on continuous improvement for the Software Quality Engineering practice.
Leadership - The Manager supports an inclusive culture (OneHGV) for members of the Development and SQE team and is able to assess skill sets for all team members, to provide direction and coaching for improvements and consistency.
Consistency in Execution - Establish and drive goals for the Software Quality Engineering team.
Vendor Management - The software quality engineering team is a blended group of HGV employees and multiple vendor partners with both onsite and offshore team members for flexible staffing.

What Will I be Doing?

Technical Experience - The desired candidate has hands-on experience in DevOps principles and is a subject matter expert for implementing test automation and performance testing into the development pipeline.
- DevOps experience with Quality Engineering - automation and performance testing, following Agile Delivery
- Development experience - Experience in Salesforce Development and managing development teams to delivering on commitments.
- Technology stack experience - Azure deployment pipelines, Selenium, JMeter, Postman, and Load Runner
Collaboration - The Manager will be highly-engaged with IT and Business Stakeholders, with a focus on continuous improvement for the Software Quality Engineering practice.
- DevOps / Development Team - Integration of automation into the development pipeline, establish and enforce quality gates
- User Acceptance / Release Governance - Ensure release acceptance criteria is a focus throughout the pipeline
- Product Owners (Business Analysts) - Detail understanding of the User Stories and acceptance criteria
- Project Management Office (Project Managers / Scrum Masters) - Resource planning, establish SQE dashboards
Leadership - The Manager supports an inclusive culture (OneHGV) for members of the Development and SQE team and is able to assess skill sets for all team members, to provide direction and coaching for improvements and consistency.

- Influence - Collaboration across all Information Technology teams and Business Stakeholders
Consistency in Execution - Establish and drive goals for the Software Quality Engineering team.
- Consistency of the Quality Engineering Practice - Ensure the Development and SQE team is engaged early in the development lifecycle, that test plans are prepared for each project, and that metrics and dashboards are consistently produced for all projects.
- Lower Environments and Test Data - Primary advocate for the stability of test environments, along with the definition / creation of test data to successfully complete all SQE functions.
Vendor Management - The software quality engineering team is a blended group of HGV employees and multiple vendor partners with both onsite and offshore team members for flexible staffing.
- The desired candidate will have experience in vendor management, ensuring that vendors meet established goals for improving software quality, and will be comfortable working across a team which has both onsite and offshore team members.

To fulfill this role successfully, the individual should possess the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- 10 years experience with software quality engineering, programming background strongly preferred
- 4 years experience in lead or management position.
- 2 years experience establishing and analyzing metrics for software quality.
- 4 years experience and a strong understanding of different software development life cycles (agile, waterfall) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools.
- 4 years experience testing web-delivered applications across multiple browsers and platforms and n-tier software testing
- 4 years experience with automation solutions such as Cypress, Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium, JMeter, Postman, and Load Runner or similar testing tools/frameworks
- 3 years development and management experience in Salesforce
