The Senior Tax Analyst is primary responsible for preparing and assisting with various federal and state tax reporting and compliance calculations, work papers, forms and returns. The Senior Tax Analyst must demonstrate 1) proficiency with principles of federal and state income and indirect taxes, 2) working knowledge of GAAP rules governing accounting for Income Taxes as provided for under ASC 740 and 3) general understanding of GAAP accounting standards. Position requires awareness of all governmental imposed deadlines applicable to HGV, as well as internal deadlines including, but not limited to those imposed by corporate accounting, FPA, treasury and others. As a part of the HGV Corporate Tax Department, this position will interact with multiple departments within the HGV organization and multiple team members within the HGV Corporate Tax Department

You are responsible for driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Preparation of various federal book-to-tax difference adjustment calculations quarterly and annually.
- Assist with quarterly and annual federal and state tax provisions, including OneSource Tax Provision active workpapers.
- Preparation of quarter estimates and annual extensions for federal income tax filings.
- Monitor, research, and interpret federal tax laws to ensure compliance.
- Respond to and resolve tax notices and communicate with taxing jurisdictions as necessary.
- Prepare forecasts to predict future tax liabilities accurately and address any uncertain tax positions proactively to reduce risks.
- Assist with various other routine and recurring tax projects, as well as special projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment involving competing deadlines.
- Develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with the finance group, business units, and senior management to ensure tax is seen as a strategic partner.

To fulfill this role optimally, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Four (4) years of corporate tax experience in a public and/or corporate environment
- Solid understanding of federal and state income tax principles
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Independent and self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and time constraints in order to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to research and understand complex and technical tax matters
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and prevent potential problems
- Able to work well under pressure to effectively handle multiple concurrent demands and appropriately priority responsibilities
- A team player
- CPA preferred
- Experience with PeopleSoft general ledger; OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Tax Return
- Experience with ASC 740 computations
- Timeshare experience is a plus
- Eligibility: All U.S. hourly Team Members not represented by a labor organization or subject to collective bargaining agreement.
