What are the responsibilities and job description for the MS / US Principal's Administrative Assistant position at Hilton Head Christian Academy?
Primary Function:
To provide general administrative support for Middle School and Upper School Principals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with Senior and 8th grade graduation: Coordinate with Jostens for grad day supplies, legal names for diploma covers, graduation announcement information, order honor cords, caps and gowns for students and staff.
- Lead communicator for all senior activities including graduation, senior posters, senior recognition, senior celebration.
- Plan and coordinate school wide picture day.
- Coordinate with Jostens and Junior families Junior Ring Ordering
- Assist with Homecoming / Prom details: crown, tiara; flowers; reserve prom venue
- Create and maintain 6th-12th field trip calendar, coordinate completion of field trip form, including coordination of transportation and distribution to necessary personnel
- Assist with planning of 8th grade DC trip – communicate with parents, help track payment collection and work with tour companies to finalize details
- Assist as necessary with MS / US retreat planning / prep / attendance, etc.
- Manage and lead daily student announcements.
- Maintain detention list along with number of infractions
- Serve as coordinator for In School Placement (ISP)
- Daily monitor student attendance - serve as attendance clerk. Daily utilize the school attendance policy to monitor student absences.
- Assist Principals with managing their calendars, meetings, appointments to assist with accessing a common conference area.
- Provide daily administrative support and assistance in other ways as deemed necessary
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Previous administrative or other office experience preferred (3-5 years min preferred)
