Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our laundry services, particularly in a hotel environment. A background in dry cleaning or hotel laundry services is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers to launder linens, towels, and garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items efficiently.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces.
- Ensure proper handling of chemicals and cleaning supplies according to safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or dry cleaning environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel laundry operations is a plus.
- Ability to operate various laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and quality.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
