Job Summary:
The Hilton Mystic is seeking a friendly and reliable Shuttle Driver to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for hotel guests to and from local designated destinations. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a clean driving record, and a flexible schedule. This position is primarily Monday-Thursday, afternoon/evening hours.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $16.35 per hour, paid biweekly. As a part-time position, the Shuttle Driver will also have access to certain benefits such as discounted hotel rooms and employee meals.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the hotel shuttle van to transport guests to and from designated locations.
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, assist with luggage as needed
- Plan efficient and timely routes to ensure guests arrive at their destination on time
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shuttle van, including regular fueling and maintenance
- Assist with other transportation needs of the hotel.
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests, anticipating their needs and resolving any concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Follow all traffic and safety laws, including wearing a seat belt and using hands-free devices while driving
- Communicate any issues or concerns with the shuttle van to the appropriate department
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and confidentiality
- Attend all required training and meetings as directed by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years driving experience, preferably in a customer service or hospitality setting
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knowledge of the Mystic, Connecticut area preferred
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
