Upscale cocktail lounge in downtown Richmond is seeking a Full-Time Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.
As a Restaurant Supervisor, you would be responsible for assisting management in the direction and administration of the Food & Beverage department in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
JOB DUTIES * Supervise, support, schedule, assign daily work, inform, and train employeesin all F&B activities and operations. * Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating employee performance. * Support and assist employees in handling guest inquiries and requests in resolving guest complaints. * Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. * Manage and monitor product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly. * Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control. * Supervise and reconcile cash controls for each shift. * Maintain effective communication within department, and open communication with all other departments. * Promote unity and teamwork throughout the department. * Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to meet and exceed standards and guests’ expectations. * Attend all mandatory Department and Hotel meetings. * Complete all required training within timeframe allotted. * Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures as required. * Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned. * Support environmental commitments by acquiring the knowledge, skills, and values to be a leader in the global goal of “greening” the hospitality industry
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * US work authorization required * Minimum 1 year supervisor experience in a similar setting * Previous food & beverage experience required * Working knowledge of POS system * Previous hotel/resort experience (preferred) * Certificate in Food Safety & Alcohol Awareness is a plus * Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment * Ability to motivate and train employees in guest services. * Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms * Able to demonstrate high energy, and strong enthusiasm for customer service * Must meet grooming standards * Able to work with little or no supervision * Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds * Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time * Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Hours of restaurant are 4pm-12am Sunday - Thursday & 4pm-2am Friday-Saturday. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THOSE HOURS!
