Technical Support:
- Respond to staff and guest inquiries regarding technology issues with systems like PMS (Property Management System-OnQ), POS (Point-of-Sale- Simphony Micros and Book4Time), guest Wi-Fi, and internal networks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems with computers, printers, network devices, and other IT equipment.
- Provide basic technical training to staff on using hotel systems and applications.
- Assist with Active Directory, password resets and account access issues.
- Assist with Microsoft Office 365 programs.
- Network Administration:
- Monitor network performance and identify potential issues with internet connectivity.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and configuration changes along with daily helpdesk tasks.
- Hardware Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and peripherals
- Track and manage IT equipment inventory, including software licenses
- Security:
- Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security protocols
- Monitor for potential security threats and take appropriate actions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common computer hardware and software issues
- Basic understanding of network administration and protocols
- Knowledge of hospitality industry specific software (PMS, POS, etc.)
- Communication Skills:
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with guests and staff
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Analytical approach to identify the root cause of technical issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and not afraid to ask for assistance as needed.
Supportive Functions
In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the hotel.

Qualification Standards:
Education: Business Related degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: A minimum of one year’s experience in a networking environment preferred.
