Position Purpose:
Greeting and escorting guests to tables in the restaurant, maintaining menu cleanliness. Maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dinning room to ensure guest satisfaction. Assisting guests with to-go orders.
Essential Functions:
- Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and assist with chairs. Present menus, inform guests of servers name and wish them an enjoyable meal.
- Maintain proper set-up of dining room, review reservations for special needs, arrange floor plan, maintain cover count sheet and seating distribution to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Record the details of the phone/ to get orders from the guests into micro’s, repeating the order to the guest for accuracy.
- Answer reservations calls accurately, recording these in the reservation book.
- Thank the guests and wish them a good day/evening.
Supportive Functions:
- Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management and line employees.
- Carry coffee and/or tea pots throughout the outlet, refilling guests cups as requested.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning, bussing tables, assisting with side duties.
Experience:
Customer Service Experience Preferred.
