About The Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary and experienced General Manager to join Hilton Tampa Downtown and Embassy Suites Tampa Convention Center and guide our prestigious hotels to new heights.

As Complex General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring exploration and discovery for our guests, ensuring that their stays are filled with urban adventures and peaceful retreats You will also be responsible for managing daily hotel operations and providing overall leadership in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

About The Properties

Located in the heart of downtown Tampa, Hilton Tampa Downtown offers a stylish urban retreat steps from the Tampa Riverwalk, Amalie Arena, and the Convention Center. The hotel features 520 modern rooms and suites with marble bathrooms, 55-inch TVs, mini-fridges, and Hilton Serenity beds. Guests can relax at the rooftop pool, dine at 211 Restaurant and Lounge, or grab a coffee at the on-site Starbucks. With over 38,000 sq. ft. of event space—including a 14,000 sq. ft. ballroom and outdoor venues—the hotel accommodates up to 1,000 guests.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center is a 360-suite, all-suite hotel ideally located in the heart of downtown Tampa. Connected directly to the Tampa Convention Center via skybridge, the property is within walking distance of Amalie Arena, the Tampa Riverwalk, and Sparkman Wharf.

Following a major renovation, the hotel features modern two-room suites with separate living areas, two 55-inch HDTVs, microwaves, mini-fridges, and locally inspired décor. What are we looking for?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Complex Hotel General Manager managing a full-service property with revenue of $75M and 500 rooms.
  • Strong operational background with a proven track record of driving top-line revenue growth and capturing market share.
  • Proven experience and passion building engaging service cultures, mentoring and developing high performing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a solid background in financial management and revenue optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills, public speaking, written and oral, with the ability to customize the message to the audience (guest, team member, owner, and other stakeholders)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing large-scale convention or conference operations.
  • Airline business acumen.
  • Background in Food & Beverage operations, including activations and amenities.
  • Hilton brand experience.
