Work Experience

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in the management, coordination and execution of items related to the Group Sales operation of the hotel. Responsible for the management and solicitation of designated markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Proficiency in qualifying group leads as it pertains to pattern placement, room to space ratio, validating histories and understanding/establishing food, beverage and rental minimums.
  • Plan, direct, and organize sales activities such as outside sales calls, organizing and conducting site inspections, entertaining clients, developing and soliciting new leads, presenting and preparing written proposals and contracts.
  • Proficiency in qualifying group leads as it pertains to pattern placement, room to space ratio, validating histories and understanding/establishing food, beverage and rental minimums.
  • Ability to illustrate a clear understanding of group history analysis and application for general use.
  • Clear understanding of hotel contract terms and conditions; navigating through negotiations that support and protect hotel interests.
  • Demonstrate creativity when it comes to written proposals and special offers, highlighting/focusing on customer’s individual needs.
  • Deliver creative and memorable experiences when conducting customer site inspections.
  • Organize and/or attend scheduled Sales, Revenue and other related meetings.
  • Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that inspire team members to meet and exceed standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Minimum of 4-year college degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2 years hotel sales experience preferred.

Experience utilizing Delphi FDC preferred.
